Goals from Nikolic, Zivzivadze and a Petryak penalty secured a 3-0 win over DVTK.
DVTK were the visitors to the MOL Arena Sosto on Sunday evening in match 11 of the OTP league season. Manager Marton Gabor chose the following side: Rockov - Bolla, Stopira, Fiola - Bolla, Alef, Nego, Houri, Funsho - Zivzivadze, Nikolai kezdőt küldte pályára.
There was a minutes silence before the game following the death of former Hungarian FA President Mihaly Laczko, who passed away on Friday. We started the game well with the visiting side hardly being able to come out of their own half. The first chance arrived on 5 minutes with a right footed shot from Funsho being saved by keeper Danilovic. It was Funsho again 3 minutes later who was fed a lovely pass by Alef, but again Danilovic was well placed to deal with the danger. Nego was fouled on 13 minutes and the free kick was taken by Houri, who curled a lovely ball just under the crossbar, which Danilovic tipped over. A minute later and a corner by Houri was met by the head of Stopira who got to the ball ahead of Zivzivadze, with the latter eventually sending his looping header bounce off the crossbar.
Nikolic released Zivzivadze with a lovely ball after 24 minutes and he shot from a tight angle, which brought a smart stop out of the DVTK keeper. Alef provided Nego with a good ball after 29 minutes, and he shot from 10 meters out, which was again saved by Danilovic. A low shot from Nego 6 minutes later fell to Zivzivadze, but the forward did not make clean contact with the ball. Vidi went ahead after 36 minutes: Funsho sending a lovely curling low ball in from the left into the middle for Nikolic to connect with and slide it into the back of the net (1-0). It was Niko's 98th goal for Vidi in the NB I and he is just 13 goals from the record holder Jozsef Szabo. A cross before half time from Nikolic just failed to find Zivzivadze, who slid in from close range. The two sides went in at the break with Vidi leading 1-0.
The second half started with a high ball in from Bolla, which fell in front of Funsho, who had an empty goal in front of him, but his shot clipped the crossbar. The action continued with another attack after 58 minutes. Zivzivadze received a good ball but his shot did not have the power to cause problems when well placed. The visitors had their first chance a minute later. Max shot at goal from 20 meters, which was saved by Rockov. The rebound fell to Grozav, who from 16 meters shot wide of the goal. Zivzivadze had another chance after 67 minutes, but his effort from 14 meters did not find the target. Drazic showed good skill for DVTK before shooting at goal from 25 meters, which again resulted in a save from Vidi keeper Rockov. DVTK could have levelled three minutes later. First Drazic shot from 14 meters, which was blocked by Stopira, and then the rebound was collected by Hasani, whose low shot was beaten out by Rockov. Vidi doubled their lead after 80 minutes: Houri provided Nego with a lovely ball, and he showed unselfish play to lay the ball into the path of Zivzivadze, who had an empty goal in front of him to roll the ball home 2-0.
The two minutes of injury time provided a further goal for VIdi. Petryak was brought down inside the box by Shestakov and the Ukrainian picked himself up to convert the penalty under the diving body of Danilovic to make the final score 3-0.
Vidi are next in action on the 28th November with a home game with ZTE.
