Hungary made Holland fight for their three points in this European championship qualifying match in the Dutch capital. Very few would have predicted a second half, which produced SEVEN goals, when the two side went in at the break, with the Dutch leading 1-0. Hungary came out with fight in their bellies, with first Rudolf, equalising for Sandor Egervari's side, and then Zoltan Gera, volleying home to put the Magyars ahead. It was a lead, which they kept for eleven minutes. The Dutch side stepped up a gear, and goals from Sneijder and Van Nistelrooy, put them 3-2 ahead. However, the Hungarians did not give up, and Gera scored his second of the evening, and Hungary's third to send the travelling supporters into delight.
