The head coach will have close to a starting eleven missing for the league cup game against Vasas. However, they are still very determined as they prepare for the evening match.
"We play difficult matches every week. We need to overcome a special problem in our league cup match against Vasas. There are 5 players away with the senior national team, a further 2 with the national U20 side, while another 2, Stopira and Alvarez are abroad with their national teams during the week. This is a total of 9 players. Caneira and Feczesin are both injured, and there is a question mark about whether they can be in the starting eleven. Defender Fejes is also battling with an injury, and Pajac is serving a 2 match ban. Therefore things are not that simple. There are still two matches to play in the League cup group stage. I am fortunate enough to have enough options to put a starting eleven together and we are determined to achieve.
We are clear with the fact that Vasas have good calibre players. I am thinking here mainly about Lazok, who most recently played for both Paks and Győr. There is also Remili who scored three goals in their recent 6-2 win over Csakvar. Ferenczi is another key player for them, as are Gruz and Gal. Former Vidi player Dani Nagy is also a player to watch out for. The match looks likely to be a tough one taking everything into account. However, the players want to play and win, which is why we have been working a lot. There will be some players in the squad from the Vidi II side, as well as the U21 team, whose work I am satisfied with. Naturally these players are still not at the point where the first team squad players are, but I really enjoy working with these young Hungarian players. However, they still need time. Time also for them to be able to give a good performance" - commented Joan Carrillo.
