Vidi win their final friendly game in Austria against Universitate Cluj
Bozsovics – Lázár, Lipták, Horváth, Andics – Szakály, Sándor, Milanovics, Polonkai – Nikolics, Alves. Vidi took only 3 minutes to go ahead with the referee giving a penalty for a handball. Brazilian striker Alves comfortably scored from the spot. Vidi's dominant start to the game paid dividends, when they doubled their lead after keeper Bozsovics sent a goal kick forward, which was flicked on by Sandor. Striker Nikolics ran onto the ball and finished perfectly. Cluj got a goal back after 20 minutes, when a free kick from the left was headed in. The referee stopped the game for a few minutes, so that the players could take on some much needed water. Vidi then made it 3-1 on 40 minutes. Polonkai released Alves on the left, who from about 6 meters from the bye-line curled the ball into the net past the stranded keeper.
Mezey made changes to his second half line-up: Bozsovics - Lázár, Lipták, Milanovics, Hidvégi – Gosztonyi, Sándor, Djordjic, Mutumba – Sitku, Lencse started the second 45 minutes. The Romanian outfit made it a close finish by scoring their second goal after 56 minutes. There were no more goals in the game as Videoton made sure that they ended their summer pre-season camp with a win.
The team boarded the coach after the game and began their journey home. The team will next train on Monday afternoon, in Felcsut. They will then travel to Debrecen to play the Super cup final on Wednesday, with kick off at 18:00pm.
