Videoton are very close to making it through to the next stage in the League cup

An unlucky Brachi own goal gave Vasas the lead, before the leveller came on 62 minutes from the head of Feczesin.

The Match in Budapest began in foggy and cold weather as Vidi visited Vasas in Group E of the League cup. There was an unusual starting line-up, with Szolnoki at left back, Oliveira playing as a forward and Krisztian Geresi coming in from the Vidi II side. Remili tested Tamas Horvath in the Vidi goal after 7 minutes, but the keeper was well placed, while Heffler lifter a ball from Oliveira just over two minutes later. Vasas player Daniel Nagy went down the right on 10 minutes, before putting in a low cross, which was connected with by Remili, with Brachi having the final touch, with the home side leading 1-0.

There were efforts following the goal from Trebotic, while Remili also had an effort at the other end. The Croatian midfielder had another shot on goal after 16 minutes, but Nemeth got down well to keep it from going into the bottom right hand corner. Remili hit a volley after a pass from Gal on 33 minutes, which produced a smart stop from Horvath. A foul on Oliveira resulted in a Hefler free kick, which was sent in high to the box. The Vasas keeper slipped, but recovered as the ball rebounded off his body. The first half ended with two chances for Vasas. The first fell to Remili from 24 meters, with his free kick crashing back off the post. Ferenczi also connected with the ball by the right hand post.

There were no chances from either side at the break. The first chance came after 52 minutes, when Brachi's cross spinning off the foot of Tamas, which ended with the ball going just over the bar. Horvath saved a long distance shot from Nagy on 56 minutes. The resulting move at the other end saw Trebotic release Oliveira, whose first shot was blocked, while the second ball was collected by keeper Nemeth. The equaliser came after 62 minutes: Heffler's cross from the right was headed home by Feczesin, who had come on as a substitute two minutes earlier. It was the first touch for the forward in the game to make it 1-1.

A Feczesin high ball in on 63 minutes was headed wide by Oliveira. Sandor then had a powerful shot from 22 meters, which required Nemeth to finally get hold of the ball at the second attempt. A chance for the home side then followed: Remili's free kick fell to the feet of Ferenczi, but he could not connect cleanly with the ball, with Horvath picking up the ball. Gal was then at the end of a move on 73 minutes, when he broke in to the box, shooting with his right, which required a very good save from Horvath. Zsolt Nagy then found himself clear on goal after 76 minutes, as he took the ball wide of the keeper, but the tight angle resulted in the ball going wide. Feczesin had a shot go wide from 13 meters towards the end, before Brachi's cross was almost deflected in to his own goal by Gal.

The final result was 1-1, which means that Vidi continue to lead Group E, and are now very close to going through to the next stage. Vasas will need to beat Ujpest, while Vidi concede many goals at Ajka for the red and blues not to make it through.
