Dániel Németh is now officially a Videoton player; Bence Babos has signed with ZTE

Our club exercised the option included in Dániel Németh’s contract to sign the prolific striker from ZTE FC, so our forward will continue to play for Videoton FC Fehérvár!

Dániel Németh arrived in Sóstó on loan from Zalaegerszeg in August 2025. In the season just ended, he started 16 times and came off the bench a further 4 times in NB II, scoring 10 goals; he also started twice in the cup. With one exception, he scored all his goals during the spring season; during our memorable victory in Csákvár, he netted four goals in a single game—a feat that had never before been achieved by our club in an away first- or second-division league match. With 10 goals, the forward—born in 2003—finished the season in sixth place on the Merkantil Bank Liga NB II scoring table.

"Videoton had a buyout clause in my contract, and they exercised it. I was very happy about that, since I really enjoyed my time in Fehérvár last season. Toward the end of the season, we were already in talks with sports director Nemanja Nikolics about continuing, and the club management and coaching staff wanted me to remain a member of the team next year. I’m glad that my performance earned me that trust. I’m confident that the entire team will be focused on getting back to NB I next season," Dániel Németh told our website after the contract extension.

He’s a professional-minded, marketable player who, with a better autumn season, could have even competed for the league’s top scorer title. Our club has also reached an agreement with ZTE FC regarding the sale of Bence Babos's playing rights.

The forward arrived in Székesfehérvár in 2017 and made his NB I debut with us during the 2022–2023 season. He played for Ajka in two separate stints, and last season he was on loan to DVTK.
