Győri ETO and Haladas kicked off the weekend on Friday, with a 2-2 draw. ETO led by two goals until the very end, with Haladas showing character to come back and equalise. Ujpest also played on Friday, when they entertained ZTE in Budapest. The violets really needed a win to pull away from the relegation zone, and they managed to do just that with a 4-2 win over Janos Csank's side. Videoton extended their lead at the top of the Monicomp league to 13 points, when they produced a good second half performance to win 4-0 against Lombard Papa. Third place Kaposvar suffered a 4-1 hiding away at Kecskemet, while at the other end of the league table, Siofok drew 1-1 with bottom side Szolnok. Debrecen travelled to the capital with a new manager in place. That did the trick as Debrecen thrashed Vasas 5-1 on their home pitch. Vasas had been the form team over the spring season so far, so it was a very good result for the current champions. Honved did Videoton a big favour by beating second place Paks 1-0 at the Bozsik stadium in Kispest. Ferencvaros travel to face relegation threatened MTK on Sudnay.
