Hungary beat Lithuania 2-0 at the Sostoi stadium
International manager Sandor Egervari picked three Videoton players in his starting line up against Lithuania. Hungary were playing their last match of a good 2010 season, as they faced Lithuania in this friendly at Videoton's stadium. Vidi defenders Pla Lazar and Zoltan Liptak, together with midfielder Akos Elek did not put a foot wrong, in a comfortable win. The 2-0 score line could and should have been much higher, but the Lithuanian keeper saved his team from a bigger defeat.
Liptak and Lazar had very little to do at the back as Lithuania failed to put any real pressure on the Hungarian goal. Elek was his usual busy self as he help the midfield win the battle over their opponents. Substitute Tamas Priskin, who plays for English side Ipswich Town, opened the scoring for the Hungarians on the hour, and PSV star Balazs Dzsuzsak doubled the lead twenty minutes later.
The win made it four wins in a row, following victories over Moldova, San Marino, Finland and Lithuania. The new found confidence and exciting attacking football, which Egervari's team is now playing is a joy to watch, and the trio of Vidi players in that side, is the icing on the cake.
