The two coaches gave their opinions on the league cup match.
Joan Carrillo: Vasas are doing really well in the second division, so we knew it would be a hard match, which is how it turned out. It took us a while to pick up the tempo early on, with the home side taking advantage of the resulting situation. The players realized the reality of the situation and we took over the control of the game after the goal. We created several chances in the second half, and we converted one of them. We had difficulties before the match with several players missing, which therefore meant that there were some players playing out of position. I am satisfied with my team and we needed to pick up a point to get close to going through to the next stage, which we managed.
Szanyó Károly: We played two different halves, with us managing to get on top of Vidi in the first half, but you could see the difference in class in the second half. It is not a problem as the players could see at close hand that they have to move the ball quicker, while playing harder and quicker passes. We received a good lesson in this now. We played out a draw against the best side in Hungary, so it is a good result in this form. Videoton are still a very strong side, despite the players missing on international duty, which they showed again today. I am satisfied with my players performance.
