The Videoton squad train ahead of Sunday's home game with Ujpest
Videoton manager Gyorgy Mezey, asked youth team manager, Laszlo Disztl, to join in with the morning training session, as there were not enough first team squad members available. Several players are training separately as they try to win back their fitness following injury. The international players were also absent from training on Thursday, following Hungary's 2-0 win over Lithuania, on Wednesday night, and the earlier U21 game with Slovakia. This tempted Gyorgy Mezey to bring in the younger players to make up the numbers. The U18 side took part in the full session, and played an important part in the 2 x 30 minutes practice match.
"It was a good opportunity for me to take a closer look at the young players to see what they are capable of among the senior players." said youth manager Laszlo Disztl. "There were several young players out there who showed good movement and will find there place in a senior side in a few years time." There are still two more training session planned before Sunday's home league match with Ujpest. The first team will head over to Lake Balaton following Saturday's training session for a get together.
