Videoton begin their pre season program

There were no new arrivals or departures from the autumn squad

There were two players missing with a total of 26 players reporting back for the first day of pre-season training. Martin Mutumba only arrived back in Hungary, late last night, while Andre Alves was due to land in Budapest, following his long journey from Brazil, on Monday at around 10pm. There were a couple of minor changes in the squad on Monday morning, with Roland Baracskai and Andor Margitics switching to the division two side, while Bence Somodi, Bence Elek and Martin Izing made the journey in the opposite direction. It was Bence Akos' first training session, as he joined his brother, Akos, in the senior set up. The session went on for almost 90 minutes.

"The players began training full of energy and with a lot of enthusiasm. They will not be able to maintain this tempo over the course of pre-season, but if they can keep the same level of motivation throughout, then there will not be too many problems, with the future looking to be very positive." - said manager Gyorgy Mezey, following Monday morning's training session.
