Videoton pick up awards from the Hungarian FA

The player of the year awards were held at Telki on Tuesday afternoon

Player of the year award: - Andre Alves
Discovery of the season: - Elek Ákos
Top league goalscorer: - Andre Alves
Manager of the year: György Mezey

The Hungarian FA held their awards ceremony for last season at their technical centre in Telki. They handed out a total of 23 awards for the 2010/2011 season. FA President Sandor Csanyi together with FA Secretary Marton Vagi were present to give out the awards. Videoton walked away with four of the major awards. The player of the year was awarded to Videoton's Brazilian striker, Andre Alves. The discovery of last season went to midfielder Akos Elek, who not only made a name for himself with his performances in a Videoton shirt, but also for the Hungarian national side. Andre Alves collected his second award of the afternoon as top league goalscorer with his 24 goals. Finally, György Mezey was recognized for his hard work by picking up the manager of the year award, after guiding Videoton FC to their first league title in the clubs history.
