Vidi were losing by two goals in the middle of the first half, but Gyorgy Sandor brought Videoton back into the cup game. Gyorgy Mezey's side then suffered a sending off to keeper Sebok, to make things even more difficult. However, they managed to equalise with 10 men. Both Vasziljevics and Nikolics helped to make the score 3-2 by the 49th minute, before defender Zoltan Liptak made the game safe with the fourth, to make sure Videoton progress through to face Haladas in the next round.
